Lily has been with City Plumbing for 2 and a half years, she is about to go onto a new venture within a different branch due to her husband's deployment. This is her fourth move within the business and it is great to also see her career growing!

When I first started working at City Plumbing my favourite part about working here was the community, i had an amazing team at Barrow, who will always be lifelong friends. Due to my husband being a Sergeant in the Army, we move around quite a lot, and since our first posting, City Plumbing have always tried to accommodate me, wherever I have ended up and fortunately so far, they have always found me a role.
The most interesting thing about my job is being able to see how so many different branches run and meeting new people. Since starting, I am about to go into my 4th City Plumbing and all the branches are run so differently, and there's no pressure from anyone to do your work a certain way. I love that I can work on my clock and not be constantly pressured into doing anything differently.
Everyone is so friendly! I have never been to a City Plumbing where they have not been warm and welcoming. This was one of my biggest fears being a northern and moving down south, but I have never once been made to feel like I don't fit in.
Definitely just give it a go! Even if you don't think you've got the right experience or enough of it, still apply! As they will always give you a chance.
